2009 RTX SE Tunnel Recall

Hi

Just wondering if anyone has any information or received on warranty the tunnel fix/recall for 09 RTX SE?

I am postive a fix was issued for tunnel bending and need to confirm. I have tried contacting Yamaha Canada but they came back with no recall on the XTX, I never asked about XTX so I am wondering anyone in Canada get the recall/fix for tunnel fix on 2009 RTX SE?

It's a small plate that gets riveted and bolted on the outside of the tunnel.
Both 09 RTX SE and XTX were bending in one spot.

My understanding is that this was only offered to the RTX SE, and not the XTX models.

I had the recall done on my RTX SE about 2 months ago after reading posts on TY from last year. They told me my sled wasn't covered and that it would cost me $120 parts + man hours. Dug into it further and found the bulletin and brought it in and they covered it. Took all of about 15 minutes. Bulletin list only the SE because it is advertised as the rough trail sled... also I believe its the only sled with the new tunnel design in 09, so maybe that was the real reason. I have heard of mtx and xtx having bending problems from hard hits. I had the local community college fab up a similar fix for my mtx.

My dealer told me about it cause they had some XTX's that bent.
They gave me cost on the parts and I installed it myslef.
But you need an extra couple rivets for the XTX intstall.

100 percent correct, Chris Reid was able to confirm this applies to all RTX SE Only models still under warranty.

Send the link from mach9 to your service department thta is all I did and they warranty it no problem. I bought mine from Waldoch sports in Mn. Good luck
