I just picked up a 2010 w/400 miles and a 2012 for my wife. I'm considering trying an Ulmer clutch kit on the 2010 and am looking for feedback from those who may have installed one. I also have a Vector cover for sale over in the classifieds. Thanks and Happy Thanksgiving!
just wondered where you are at in Indiana.. I'm in Decatur......

The clutching on the 10 LTX is pretty good right out of the box. You may want to ride it first. What I am finding out is the thing is geared tall, and the belt is not coming up to the top of the clutch as far as on an apex. If you can find a clutch situation that can fix that , that would be huge for the sled.
Thee sleds are really sweet, they seem to be catching on as time goes on. It may take some time till the aftermarket guys get a handle on them.
Let us know if you find something that works,

Just installed an Ulmer stage 1 on my Vector a week ago. No snow yet to try it!
Installation was easy! This was my first time ever doing clutch work. Call Alan and he can give you the scoop on what it will do. He sets it up for your weight. From what Alan says and other people on TY, this clutch kit wake the Vector up big time!!

Tod, I'm in Syracuse. True Blue, thanks for the input--we have an 08 Nytro so already know how good the engine is. My wife loves the EPS--we had a chance to ride the protos for 2 days with the Yamaha team in Jan 2010.

I picked up a 10 vector last season and the clutch worked very well. It only has one issue, it seems to be very noisy at idle. Has any body have the same issue.

Well I was kinda thinking it was normal but I haven't read anyone else saying anything about the rattle. Thanks for the piece of mind Guys. The sled is great otherwise, I did have some hyfax wear but loosend the tack and added some marginal snow wheel kit, adjusted the limiter strap one hole tighter and it's been good since. We need SNOW
