I did a search but couldnt find where anyone had this same problem. This is my buddy's sled. He just got it last weekend. Here is the issue: when he goes out to start it in the morning he turns the key. The fuel pump goes but it doesnt start. The started doesnt even attempt to kick in. It is completely quit other then the pump. He turns the key like this say 5-10 times, leaving a few seconds inbetween turns. Eventually it spins to life (fast, not slowly)and works great. It starts perfect the rest of the day.
We were thinking battery but it seems odd that it will eventually start and that the fuel pump is working??? I know my wife's phazer when the battery is dead the pump doesnt go, and when the battery was weak the starter turned but real slow.
This one has us puzzled. Why will it eventually start and when it does it sounds like it is spinning up not spinning slowly and barely starting. It is almost like their is an electrial problem between the key to the starter that only screws up in the morning?????
Anyone have this issue or any suggestions???
Thanks in advance!

Starter relay going south maybe. Have you tested it to see if there's power going through it?

That would be my first guess. Cheap enough to replace, I think they're around 30-40 bucks.
