so.....I was wondering how much clearance you guys are ending up with if you opted to shim between tunnel protectors and the tunnel, ( between track lugs and protector)due to the stud clearance issues? Mine has about 1/16" after .187" of shims.I'm concerned about the track lugs rubbing.......an other question for you pros...I had trouble with the rear bolts on the skid frame. I took one side out and then when I tried to take the other side out, the shaft would just spin inside . Is there a trick to stop the shaft from turning? thanks for your help.
I had some big 1/4" thick stainless steel washer's that I put under my tunnel protector's (just short of 5mm) the track lug's are just touching. 4 to 5mm is Yamaha's recommendation if you are going to stud. For the bolt's, Sometimes you have to loosen one side up retighten and then take the other side out. Then go back to the first one. An impact works best That way you loosen up the lock tight.
I was wondering if anyone is using 1.175 studs on 1.25 ripsaw? funny thing is it sticks out of track by about 1/8 to 1/4 thats my fix on my 2012 apex se
