1/8" is not enough on the SE, right at the exhaust silencer edge it tapped it a few times on some high speed runs... need to go a little more guys.

Tom,
What studs and length are you running on the 2011?
I saw 1.325 on the 2010 LTX but did not see what you are running this year.

Extreme Max Stud , they are aprox. 3/8" past the track. I would guess it was from track whip from braking.
The full length of the stud is just under 1 3/4"
The full length of the stud is just under 1 3/4"

Thanks Tom.
Studding now with Woody's 1.325. They measure 1 11/16 overall, pretty much the same as your extreme max's.
I was looking under the SE today and it did not look like there was room for much more than another 1/8'th on the tunnel protectors.
What are you going up to if you do not feel an 1/8 th is enough?
How far forward do you take the the additional thickness on the protectors? Pretty much up to the front of the track or less?

1/8 full length was no problem. I think I am going to add at least an 1/8 more under the 1/8 i just put on right at the silencer exhaust edge.

I just got done lowering the skid and you can see that with an 1/8" bar stock on the existing protectors I am still hitting. By the looks of it, I can only get another 1/8 on top. I am going to remove the 1/8 and install 1/4" and the track is going to just clear at the rear wheels on the SE.
If you look at the 1st pic, you can see the studs are not sticking up maybe 1/4 to 3/8 max.

After hearing of MrSled's experience this weekend here's what I have done to ensure the exhaust system clears the studs. Added 3/4" square alum tubing done the center.

Great Photos Tom. Thanks.
Yes you sure are marking things up. Definitely can not leave it like that.
I'm with you after my examination today. Looks like 1/4" total addition to the protectors is pretty much the max that can be added.
How much sag did you have in the track when this happened?

Studs look longer than 1.325.

The track is fairly tight. I think what is happening is the protectors flex and move in, I can easily move them a 1/4" on the crappy little brackets... they should be channel shaped no C shaped.

I really like this idea. Just have to make sure that you dont hook your cross tubes. I am working on something that might help as well.

Can You put some shims between the braket and the protector to keep it from flexing? Maybe bend the bracket down a little first for even more clearance. If you add to the bottom and it hits hard it can still flex quite a ways up.

Post a Pic once you have the skid back in.
When I was looking at my 2011 SE today it did not look like there would be enough room for an extra 3/4 inch of protection without the track rubbing on the the protectors.
Hope I was wrong or maybe I am looking at your photo the wrong way.
