Well, the past two Apex's that my wife and I have had got customized and the 2011 is no different. This year my wife gets all custom painted panels in Cadillac pearl white multistage paint with custom white insert vinyl for the seat, power coated dark pink Ohlin springs, black loops, custom graphics, pink woody's backer plates. Sled looks awesome in person! My Apex didn't get to the painter in time for the custom painted hood work, but got some subtle graphics, chrome plated Ohlin's, hey, they are expensive enough, might as well chrome them! Blue snow flap, Billet aluminum rear axle wheels, hope to get the small ones for Christmas. I drove each sled about 2 miles before loading the the trailer. This weekend I will give you my report but from the two miles in the bean field by my house the sleds are amazing!!!! for smooth power. Amazing how fast they get to speed.
Enjoy the pics....

Very nice customization. The 128's are gonna be ideal on the trails. Looking forward to your report when you get back.

Actually I liked the 128 demos I rode. I think dropping the 121 was a good idea by Yamaha. Both models are great and have their purpose.

Nice job on the sleds, wondering how you like the mirrors?
Have decided what to do about mirrors, seen the handle bar mounted ones as you have, seen some mounted on the sides of the windshield/side panels and also seen mirrors in Yamaha 2011 parts fish (part # 8HG-W2628-00 under "Alternate Rear View Mirror) and those mirrors look to have mounts going down to the U-frame!

Both sleds look great, looking forward to hearing about the 128's as I am considering extending mine when the time comes?

The handlebar mounted mirrors work great. I have tried he side panel mounted which were no good. These mirrors are like motorcycle mirrors so they are pretty easy to take on an off. High quality all around but they use a cheap plastic mount to the nice aluminum bracket. Easy enought to take on an off when you want to blast around with out mirrors.
