2011 Phazer rtx heated grip problem

I have a 2011 Phazer rtx with a bad right hand grip, will not heat up. Tested it and it does not make continuity, left one does. took it apart and it has one of those heater wraps with a grip that goes over it. Can a person put on a regular grip where the wires are molded into the grip itself ? I have a 2003 viper mountain I can take one off. Just wondering if it would cause an electrical issue or get hot enough.

It may not heat up the same. Check the resistance in the good grip and see if its close the one you want to put on the other side.

Thanks for the reply Mr Sled, I just tested the good one and I got 7 and tested the one I want to put on and got 4. Can you tell me if that would be hotter or colder ?

Lower number more heat
