Hello all,

Everything is stock on my 2011 xtx and I'm looking to make it better off trail by changing the track and skis.

I'm swapping out my ripsaw for a 1.5 crossover. I figure I should add extrovert drivers while I am at it. I want to use the add on extroverts to keep the cost down. I'm looking at the Kimpex drivers. Could someone confirm I'm looking at the right thing?

I assume I need this for one side:

And this for the other side?

From reading other threads I think my driveshaft bore is 1-1/16? So these 1" bore drivers are the right size to press on?

If I wanted to look at the Yamaha oem drivers, which sled and year would I want to order for to fit my 2011 nytro driveshaft?

Thanks

When it comes to extrovert drivers the best are Avids. They are a combo involute/extrovert driver that are machined and not just molded. They are also the only ones that stand up to high HP applications. They are more expensive but you get what you pay for.

Thanks. I know there are better options, but I'm looking for a more affordable solution.

Call Travis at Barn of Parts. I used the Kimpex from him and they fit fine with the 1.5" Composit Talon 38 I installed this summer. He marks them for you to set the timing correctly.(do not use the timing arrors on them use the ones he marks with tape and an arrow!!).

Another option that can keep the costs down also is to go with the stock RTX Nytro Extroverts. It's been a while since I installed them but I believe they are from a 11' RTX. I know the information is on this site somewhere. I got mine off of Ebay for cheaper than going the Kimpex route and much cheaper than avids. I now run my track at the absolute loosest possible settings and it's been amazing for wear and deep powder.

Another vote for the Avid setup, that's whats on my sled. No matter which way you go though the extrovert drivers are a great add on. Allows you to run the track loose without ratcheting!
