Bought a 2012 SE at the end of last season with no real test ride to compare. Full service this season, bearings, clean clutches, etc. Sled has low3 end grunt but falls flat in mid range and top end. Only hits 9500 rpm's. I re cleaned clutches. added spring shims, changed rollers, new spring with higher total force, took one gram out of the tip, put new plugs in and no change. Swapped clutches with my XTX which was spot on at 10, 500 and the Se still only hit 9800. Going to check chaincase and exup valve but other than that? I heard talk of a weak fuel pump? We have run several tanks through as we put 400 miles on this season. Any suggestions? Track is within spec as well.

Sounds like it is down on power so I would highly suspect the exup valve is not opening. I think the fuel pump is unlikely.

I'd agree with Bob about the exup valve not opening.
Have you also opened up the airbox to make sure a mouse didn't make a nest in there at some point.

Had all of that apart from oil change.

I inspected the exup valve and it was at the 2 o clock position. Tried adjustment with no luck until I discovered the previous owner had the cables in the wrong position. Corrected and adjusted to proper setting and took a quick spin in a short field and hit 10,100. going to adjust primary for 10, 500.
