2012 Cats, what do you think?

Seen the new ACs in person yesterday and have to say I'm impressed. A couple small quirks are going to be addressed for production from what I'm told by reps. Hate to say it, but fit and finish seems better then my Nytro in many respects. Real paint on the hood, real gauges, lightweight, real gas tank.....think I might just take the plunge on a new 1100 snowpro turbo in orange. Good job Cat! Never thought a I would ever say that.

I rode SJ with the can on it and it might of had a power adder... I could get passed the sound with the amount of pull it has. Not very loud but changes the whole sound of it.

Wierd...I had an AC buddy go and check them out at the Barrie show and he didn't have anything good to say at all. He said the paint was terrible, the front bumper almost came off in his hand and everything felt cheap. He did say the EVERYONE was in the AC booth though...

This is all from a friend...I haven't seen them in person....

Went to Novi to look at the 2012 sleds last night. Im no closer to knowing what I want then I was before I went. The paint and graphics on the 2012 blues apex is terrible. They had a 2011 there and it was way nicer.

Looked real hard at the cats. Not sure
I like them. I was really excited about them but after sittig on them im not as excited. I don't lime the seating posistion or the steering. The mountain steering is really sweet. Wish that was on the xf.

If I had to guess right now I'd say I don't even buy a trail sled this year.

Yeah I noticed the front bumpers mounted cheaply, but I'm guessing its a proto thing and noticed some are mounted different. The open area at the base of steering block will be covered at production and the side venting is supposedly going to be a bit different.
I found Polaris and AC were top notch in paint and graphics. I guess the non painted/4 wheeler plastic like components on my Nytro kind of dull up my thoughts on yamie graphics.

time will tell, but 2012 should be a good year for cat..They are not perfect, but nor are my yamies.

I had the same experience in Ottawa. Things seemed like they would fall off on the trail. They should have it all fixed up by the fall. [/quote]

I'm sure they wouldn't what to ruin their stellar reputation of building high quality, well built sleds....;)

Pretty sure he meant an aftermarket canister/muffler
