I snowchecked the black 2012 XTX. This will be my first 4 stroke sled and am looking forward to the motor reliability. When I asked the dealer about adding a 4th and 5th year warranty, he looked it up and told me that on the spring order it was $209 total to add the 2 years, which I did. A question I have, is there any way to protect the swaybar linkage that hangs down? It looks vulnerable, is it much of an issue? Are the A-arm protectors worth putting on? Will they do anything besides collect snow? Thanks in advance, this site is great.

Don't worry about the sway bar tie rod ends. A arm protectors is like throwing your money out the window!

No they can help protect. They also help w/ flotation. But if you want a really strong skid plate get a Reost.

You are in for the longest summer of your life. I picked up my RTX my first 4s as well last April and had to look at it all summer. But on the positive note the wait is worth it, this motor is sweet and you will love the sled. Congrats!!!

Congratulations! You will not be dissapointed except for the long wait until the next snow. Get a skid plate to protect the engine guard and oil filter....

You are right, this will be a long summer. I do plan on gettting a roest skid plate for the type of riding I like to do. So many options on what to do, just need to do it one or two at a time to let the wallet recover. I like the thought of the oil-lite bushings. I have them in my 4 wheeler and it made a huge difference in tightening things up.
