we were out last weekend plowing the track when i guy came up with a 2012 1100 turbo cat that was proud as punch of his new sled. his buddies were egging him on to run it down the track so he did. when he came back he was going on about "how fast it was". so the next time he took it out my cousin took out his 1200 doo that's turbocharged. they did a rolling start because the guy said his cat had so much power that he just "spins out of the gate" and from the drop of the hand the doo had him beat and by the end of the 2000' mark he was out in front of the cat by 8 lengths.
the cat driver came back and didn't say much beside "my machines new and needs time to back in". we laughed and said "even when that machines broken in it won't catch that 1200". we ran the machine on radar last yr at 128.2mph in 2000'.
if you can't have fun with a cat fan, who can you have fun with?

Get this one. My local skidoo dealer claims a stock 1200 with a header and a fuel controler will run right with a 2012 f1100t. Sounds like story time to me.

I've been lurking in the Turbo Cat forum on HCS...some funny stuff there. Some guys talking about there 114mph top speeds at 4000ft, running 112mph in 2000ft and so on. I really don't think they are much faster than and old F7 or SRX....but they can be modded for big HP very cheaply.

The Doo 1200s respond really well to a header and fuel controller...generally 150-152hp...they really wake up...it wouldn't surprise me that with those mods and some good clutching/gearing they could run with a Turbo Cat up to a cetain distance.

Around the 100mph mark to be exact and then they leave it pretty good... The new Turbo on ice in stock form is any where from 115-118mph out of the box from the guys that i have talked to that have switched brands and have bought them and put miles on them..

To the guy pounding his chest that a 1200DOO Turbo beat a stock form F1100T... Well, that does not impress me... With Clutching and some good tuning and an ECU upgrade, The New Cat is a very impressive sled. I have seen a well tuned Z1 go... Especially with the antilag on them... They flat out rip... I have aslo seen some junk Z1's go that were apparently setup well... THe 1100T motor in completely stock form is capable of 320hp with just a ECU upgrade and race fuel. There is no other sled out there that can do that... The guy who owned this Cat Turbo obviously did not know how to set it up..

Exactly. You can make a naturally aspirated apex go mid 120's on radar in that distance too.its all the tuner.

Did you guys read the first sentence in this post?
"we were out last weekend plowing the track when i guy came up with a 2012 1100 turbo cat that was proud as punch of his new sled. his buddies were egging him on to run it down the track so he did. when he came back he was going on about "how fast it was". "

What does tuner or brands have to do with a guy with a sled and a mouth? Just saying....
