Well my sled has had a couple of funky starts in the garage. Of course it's not broken in at all, but it has had it's moments already.

if it was built in feb or april ( look at the date on the rear behind seat ) might have to have update flashing !

This makes sense now .. was just in at the dealership today to let them know ill be picking my sled up on Saturday.
Dealer was telling me about the new exhaust they put on due to a weld issue for strength. And the brake lever was on recall, so they replace lever and master cylinder as well.

I'll have to check and ask about the ECU re flash though now ..

Mine was April according to the sticker, but how do I trust that? Did they build it in April then set it aside until Late September/Early October?

FWIW my one funky start it just went put-put-put-put put as the cylinders went over then it took off.

I f you start it and shut it off without running for a while fuel builds up in the cylinders, I fouled the plugs in my Nytro before learning to not do that. And without snow it is hard to get it started and ran up to temp....be careful.

The rear of sled just ahead of tail light. Has VIN etc on it.

Remains to be seen. Phazer and nytro do it if rolled on left. Viper on right. A combination of the 2 would work except for full rolls. Rollover valve is only thing to truly stop that and that check ball in viper box has caused issues for some.

Funny and strange that Yamaha cant make a roll-over valve on the Viper? Mountain sleds will be rolled over many times and when this isues that the oil is running out is no good to a mountain sled.

What are vin numbers of the early builds? I removed my stickers as soon as the was off the trailer...

It's also scrawled on right side of tunnel 1tp. Your dealer can run you Vin and see the build and ship date of your sled if you need that.

Any updates on a reflash?

Got a call today from my dealer saying I could come in anytime for the gas line and ECU flash service bulletins. He said he had all the tools/cables needed and takes about 30min.
The flash is supposed to fix the hot and cold start issues and once you change it you cannot go back to the old mapping.

Wonder what concerns there would be going back to the old mapping? I say good riddance.
