I bought a used 2015 xtx with the 141x 1.75" track. As a 95% groomed trail rider I prefer a shorter lug with studs. I am seeing very few option in 141" tracks. Had anyone ever tried putting a 144" track in a viper and used bigger rear wheels to help take up the extra length? Not sure if it would be possible, just thoughts in my head at this point. I would prefer a 144x1.25 ripsaw. Or would you just shave the lugs down to the desired height?

Arctic cat guys have done it on the 141” chassis by using 10 tooth 2.52 drivers and still have enough room in the adjustment slot tighten the track. I’ve also seen The 1.3” version of the 141 cobra avalible cheap as a take-off track.

10 tooth 2.52 drivers and you can run a 144 track.
If you do cut down or keep the 141 size, im pretty sure its a single ply track.

It is a single player and you don't want to swap it out! That 1.6" camoplast is awesome you can stud it and it trails beautifully. I have over 6000 miles on mine with 144 1.85" grand masters studs. On Saturday I took 3 Rd place overall at the gogebic radar runs even beating 300+ hp cats and winders in 1000 ft.
It hooks up so hard at 265 hp it lifts the skis 12" and carries them to over 115 mph.

Be careful running high speeds with that track. I’ve seen a few stock rip 2s come apart on sidewinders already. Your track is a ticking time Bomb right now

6000 miles it has been very good to me not 1 stud gone and Saturday did 129 mph on gps speeding said 132 these things are accurate.

That's ballsy. I'd swap it out for at least another with that mileage if you want to keep running that track. I always cringe running those speeds on my Turbo cat with half those miles on my 1.6. I love the track overall but it would be swapped out if I was racing a lot.
Had the same discussion with another guy last year and not long after claiming no worries with his 4K mile 1.6, he blew it out the back at over 110+ on his turbo sled. Luckily he kept it straight and got stopped ok. Barely.

is it the 1.75 backcountry? I don't know where you are but depending on condition and location I'd be interested in trading my 1.6 cobra over the off season. My track is at 800 miles right now, probably end up just over 1000 by seasons end. I ride 75% off trail and while the 1.6 is nice I'm always looking for a little more.
