I have a 2015 viper stx dx wore out original Carbides. It never steered good from new. I would love some suggestions on Carbides and even better skis and also adjusting the Limiter straps. I am 6' 2" 260 fully geared up. have not messed with anything since bought new. Ive got 700 miles on it bought it up at Pats Motor sport in UP MI. I am from Illinois have no dealers that know anything about sleds LOL Please help
Does it have tuners on it? If so 6" stubboy shaper bars in the outside with 4" stock inside bring the limiter down 1 notch to start to add a little ski pressure

We are about the same size, put a set of Curve skis on. There are a few threads about this on site. I mention Curve skis because that is what I bought, but, C&A or Mohawks would be just as good. Instead of wasting time and money on polishing turds just take that money and get a good set of skis. There should be lots of sales on this time of year and my Curves came with a set of 4inch carbides.

I have no idea what skis are on it whatever came from factory, I know it has dual carbides each ski has what looks like 2 separate carbides on it. ill look closer when i get home. I know they are completely gone and I have 700 miles on it.

you should run the longer carbides inside. when you turn the outside carbide on the outside ski lifts out of the snow, so the longer one does little good there. you want the longer carbide one the inside of the outside ski as that is the one that does the most work in the turning department. when I ran tuners, I ran 6" shapers inside and 6" round outside, and it was too much on hardpack trail. I think 4" round outside with 6" shapers inside would have ben plenty. It does have Tuner skis so the dealer said put 4 " out and 6" inside I see yamadog said do 6 out and 4 in Whats thoughts or Diff
I have since changed to 7" Slydogs. the turn better in all conditions, but are a bit twitchy as all aggressive single keel skis are. majority of my riding is off trail, and tuners were usless in those conditions.
