2015 xtx viper se
Wassup,

So have a 2015 Viper XTX Se and the belt was riding low on the secondary. So I went ahead and added the 3 washers to the back of the secondary and installed the 8DN belt. So now the belt is sitting alot better on the secondary just a little over. Had it on a lift and ran the track but now when the track stops the secondary moves on its own?? I did check the offset and all good.....between 1/2 and 5/8 inch....any suggestions would be much appreciated.

Set it on the ground and run it, if it squeals its 2 tight

Loosen your belt deflection some

I did drop it down to the ground and drove it a little forward and backwards (which means only about 5ft or so) and there wasn't any squeals. Probably need to drive it more but here is Chi-Town no snow.....:( I was thinkin that today at work..... when I get home will take off one washer on each bolt on the backside and see how it does. But also was thinkin if I do that then the belt will be back to sitting lower on my secondary......but will mess with it some more tonight

Thanks

How much does it spin on the stand, creep to 1 mph? Your prob ok. Like clutchmaster said, if it squeals its to tight (on the ground). If not, you're good.

Well she is all good to go!!! So I sat there just looking at my bebe and just couldn't see how this isn't working. So I removed the belt and put it back on, but this time every half turn on my RMS belt change tool I moved the belt around, pushing on the bottom and now no movement. I was originally just throwing on the belt, backing out the RMS and not touching the belt. Not sure if that was the cause but now after running it now no movement.... Just need this crappy weather to disappear. 45 in Chi-Town and high 30s-low 40s in the UP this wkend......sucks.....but can't fight mother nature....Thanks guys:Rockon:

With the 8DN and 3 washers you no longer have adjustment to decrease belt deflection as the belt wears. When I did the 8DN I had Ulmer machine the secondary so that the sheaves can come together closer and I now have a god range of adjustment.

I like mine to ..float..even more and take all washers out.. the belt moves laterally as it climbs up
