As many of us already know. Mpi made an error when they sent out the trail turbo kits to the dealers this year. The boost controllers have been programmed for stage 2, other words way to much boost.
Jon at mpi called me today I response to my email. He was sorry to tell me Canadian owners have to wait for there new controllers, possibly a while due to Yamaha Canada.
I called Yamaha Canada they told me they where not aware of any problems.
So my advise to fellow Canucks with the new trail turbo is, unplug the power wire to the boost controller. It's a small white plug with a single wire.
If not you Will be replacing cylinders on your new machine!

And get a boost gauge! You can buy a simple garret analog gauge that can be mounted in no time, they're like $60, very cheap insurance knowing where you're at.

You Canadian guys should be set to contact your dealers. If they say they don't know about the relfash recall. Ask them to check the YDS.

ok! i just called my local dealer, yamaha wants the dealers to send the boost controller back to mpi and then (only then) they will send me the reflashed controller. You Canadian guys should be set to contact your dealers. my plan is to unplug the controller and bring it to the dealer. im going to drive the sled with the boost controller removed. Is there any reason i cant drive the sled?

My dealer just called me today about this....though I have a 2015 with your guys kit and last season I never went higher than 6lbs boost. Are you still wanting us to send ours into you and get the "updated" one?
