I think the general consensus is that 6psi is a safe level, keep your fingers crossed after that. Better safe than sorry...

If you go with a pcv pti, talk to whoever it is you're getting it from and ask about the ignition module as well, with the ability to pull timing at higher boost levels you can keep the engine in the safe zone, I won't say yes or not to running 7 pounds on a stock engine, I know guys that have run over 10 pounds on a stock engine with race fuel, also know of guys that blew up a stock engine on 6 pounds. Proper fueling and tuning will be the key.

HMMMM! I know 3 of us

Yes it is a loaded question. There are too many variable to say exactly how many #'s you can safely run. There are shops pushing them to over 250 hp on a stock motor BUT! without shim, larger or additional injectors, Head studs, pulling timing or running 110 octane it is a crap shoot. Running 1 or 2 pulls on a dyno in a controlled setting is one thing vs a wot run across a lake is another.
The general consensus on here is 6 stock max
7 #'s you need a fuel pump upgrade and quick spool waste gate
Over 7 #'s add head shim to run 91 ish octane pump gas & head studs while its opened up
9 #'s all o0f the above + 4th injector and blend fuel to get octane over 95
My 14 will be at 20#'s with low compression pistons, carillo rods, head studs, upgraded fuel pump with regulator and surge tank and power commander V PTI with ignition
My 15 is going to be 6 & 9 #'s on a stock motor with upgraded pump 4th injector but will have to run on 100% 110 octane to go to 9#'s

Anybody updating their trail turbo by mpi
We don't plan on upgrading our MPI trail turbos. I have never ran out of power with this setup for how we ride, usually run out of skill before power, haha Sure you can get more power out of these sleds but where can I use it? Sure some guys want more and nothing wrong with that if you need more for the grass drag or to make sure your always out front, I am not knocking that. But at 190 HP its virtually bullet prof/safe and reliable and I like that my 5 year warranty is intact also. We don't have time to fine tune programmers or watch gauges while riding i'm just looking for turn key and go. I know some guys like to watch gauges and nothing wrong with that but its not me. No need for a intercooler here at low boost levels since my air cleaner is outside the hood I'm already getting cooler air intake temps at the throttle body when compared to a sled with the air cleaner under the hood with a intercooler, its nice to take advantage of the cold ourside air temps

I think your warranty is gone if your running 6 psi of boost, factory kit was preset at 4.5/175hp ?

We have the stock trail kit with EBC . The electronic boost control adjusts from 4.5 to a max of 6 depending on your elevation and the current barometric pressure, so that's different depending on where your riding.
What if you pull some timing on your 15 will that get you safer on fuel mixure ?
Yes you can pull timing but with the other sled at 20#'s of boost that will be the race sled this is just for trail banging and I will be happy running 6 most of the time if I feel randy I can always fill her up with 110 and make a few runs. Last season on the 14 I had it switched at 9 & 13 and 9 was great for the trails 13#'s the front end was off the ground every time I got on it.
I really want the 15 to be safe on pump gas I am tired of humping 5 gals of 110 with me everywhere I went. I will do a season on it with that setup and maybe later add the power commander to it also so I can pull timing if I want to run it that way.

I will be doing a upgrade to a customers sled soon.
2015 SR Viper XTX LE (2.25" track), I am going to upgrade it to the intercooler setup, but I will put the quick spool wastegate on first and then install the intercooler and fuel pump. I plan on running it at 4.5 to 5 psi on low boost and 7 psi on high boost.
I have mapping for the PCV PTI available as well that uses 430cc injectors (then you can run the stock fuel pump) and mapping up to 10 lbs (willbe trying up to 14 lbs, which is capacity of stock MPI turbo).
