New decals on the Apex!!!! ; ) I'm hoping to see a new Japanese built Apex, although not holding my breath. I will not be buying an AC built sled and will be buying new in 2016. Tomorrow is the day!

I believe tomorrow is the day. My prediction is that the vipers, maybe not all, will be equipped w elkas. Maybe some minor tweaks on the apex, higher seat, more rider forward, shock packages? Possibly a new phazer, would be surprised if much more than that. Just my $.02.
Elka shocks are a good guess. Stock turbo and possibly a rear exhaust like they tested on the race sleds.

Wouldn't that pretty much be a Vector? Except with the apex exhaust/seat combo?I say Apex chassis with the Nytro engine.

My Vector GT is in the apex chasis with a little less jam than my Nytro. A hyped up version of the 3cycl nytro motor, possible with EXUP?? would make that ride hard to beat....the chasis is long in the tooth but 8 out 10 times, I'm riding the Vector...sounds great, super smooth engine/clutch/suspension, not as top heavy as the Apex (so it seams)...add 10-20 HP to that motor and you've got a winner. imoWouldn't that pretty much be a Vector? Except with the apex exhaust/seat combo?

I agree with onlyblue. I see a phazer as our new sled also, and suspension changes to the existing viper models. Too many people post on these threads, what they would like to see, and not what they really see coming. Everyone mentions the Apex replacement, Which yes is overdue, but the dealers have been screaming for low cost entry sled for a while. I have talked to reps and many dealers. Each saying they need that low end sled to bring new riders into the dealer, and a younger generation into their showrooms. Something in that $6500-8000 range like the Indy 600. Also so many rumors from others that Yamaha's Hyper sled wont be out till 2017, not 2016....

I have that sled.. 2012 Vector with eps. Ulmer airbox mod excel exhaust and pc5. Dyno sheet shows 150 hp and 94pounds of torque! Sled runs with a stock Apex and eats 1200 Doos! Great sleeper Sled!

Yamaha is a premium brand that needs a premium hyper sled...Polaris is SOOOOO far ahead in the tech race. Lots of people out there still spending big bucks on vipers etc etc. It's time Yamaha put their R&D department to work and gave us the 2015 R1 equivalent! The Rhino lawsuits are done...case closed...no more excuses for lack of R&D...
I have been Yamaha's biggest fan for decades...sadly i'm loosing interest since the AC partnership. I will spend the money if they produce a quality, Japanese built hypersled! fingers crossed.
I do agree that an entry sled lineup would help them gain market share, and possible drive more R&D into better hypersleds.

2016 is BNGs. My buddy is looking at taking Yamaha on at his shop and the Yamaha rep already told him that there is no new product coming for 16.

My guess is you won't see a new Flag Ship sled from Yamaha until 2018, if I am not mistaken that is their 50th anniversary. I am willing to bet you will see a turbo as a factory install on the Viper this year.
