We know the viper have had some problems but have things been updated
-Chain case
-reverse
- Starter
-Starting in cold and when hot
What changes have been made from 2014 to 2016’s for the better we hope.
Have they got the bugs out of the viper now?

I talked to a Yamaha rep today.
Here what he had to say about the viper problems I asked him about.

reverse -, They change the length of the extension and had no more problems.

Starting in cold and when hot -, Fuel mapping update fixed this.

Starter - , He said the Fuel mapping fixed this, but I told him some had problem after and he said there was a second Fuel mapping , never heard that before on less her talking about where some updates never worked?

Chain case and bearing- , He said the only update was when they increased the thickness of the tabs and never heard of bearing failures.

Is there any updates on rad mounting? I was looking at the Cat lineup and the ZR 7000 shows a rad being mounted in the nose vertically...not sure if it's the only rad or an auxiliary one.

It shows it in the features for the ZR 7000 limited

I looked at putting an Apex radiator in the same spot as in the pic above, until I removed my radiator and no longer need it. :sled1:

We ride ice, blacktop and dirt around here Stingray. Seen too many sleds with just heat exchangers sitting on side of trail with coolant spewed all over to be taking chance on removing radiator. Reversing it works fine though.

Agreed, you must have snow or ice and ice scratchers to be able to remove the radiator and have it work.

There's only reverse and fuel mapping and fuel hose clamp recalls ....there's no starter or bearing recall .... I haven't seen any bearing go bad ....

There's post on this site where people have been loosing the top bearing in chain case and busting the chain case
