you need to put some preload into the center shock so it will act as a pivot point for the chassis. I found 1/4"-3/8" difference in the preload makes world's of difference on my LTX with turbo. stiffen it up, and there is all kinds of ski lift, soften it up, and it stays super flat. Talk to Ian at Monster Performance, he did my shocks and it's the best $150 I spent on the sled. I don't run studs and don't really have a traction problem as long as I am on snow and not plowed road. I am running the speedwerx quick adjust coupler block, too.

I have to agree with SRXracer. I have had my rear shocks revalved, have 1/4" or so preload in the center shock, torsions on soft, pulled the blocks of the transfer rod. When clutch tuning, I was having trouble with to much lift. It was hooking so well that I would max the transfer and the blow the track loose as the front of the skid started to lift off the snow. Now that I have the clutching right, and the skid set-up right, I get great transfer and can lift the skis at will. In deeper snow, I can pop the front up a foot or two on launch. Drag racing with some Turbo guys, I was able to outrun them til about 70 mph, and then they would go by me as I am NA. When set up right, the LTX will hook up, will carry the skis, and is really quick from the hole shot through mid range. Don't forget that getting the power to the snow is the important part, and that takes proper suspension set up and proper clutching.

i really cant believe i put on 3100 miles this year without setting up the suspension right. all big trips up north and no time for tuning . I guess ill have some fun next season. thanks for all the input. its going to be long summer.
If I wouldn't take a day to go ride/setup by myself it would never get done either. Just too much fun and too many mi to cover when riding with others!i really cant believe i put on 3100 miles this year without setting up the suspension right. all big trips up north and no time for tuning . It really is disappointing. I messed so much with the clutching and engine tuning between trips, now I think I would have had way better results if I could have had more track pressure.
It spins the track so much ! The guys behind me say I'm leaving a trench for miles lol. Poor groomer operators hard work.
