Someone better buy new ones...or I won't have a used one to buy lol.
Everything is like this though...a honda civic used to be $99/month, pickup trucks were cheap, gas was .25/gal...etc. A 150hp yamaha outboard costs more than the Apex lol and it doesn't have suspension!!!

I'll find a used creampuff when I'm ready give it at least 6 months to find theee one. The concern I have is if the 1.75" track will it melt hyfax on Vilas County Trails not much to worry about in UP but in northern WI I really do wonder?? Thoughts?I think the prices are way out of hand... going to push more people out of buying a new sled in all brands.... crazy.

If you don't run scratchier then I would not put a 1.75 track on a sled for trail riding in WI... that's just crazy unless you like replacing your hyfax.

Yeah I was wondering why new Apex LE has the 1.75 with best shocks , dampers & graphics? Put the dampers on the xtx with 1.25 ripsawII & I would be very interested maybe even 1.50" track but I agree 1.75 too tall for trails even with scratchers. Bound to be a mishap with scratchers running 3500 miles a year on trails. If you don't run scratchier then I would not put a 1.75 track on a sled for trail riding in WI... that's just crazy unless you like replacing your hyfax.

I haven't checked, is Yamaha having any demo rides anywhere? Probably hard with the winter we are having though......unless you live near the UP or out east.
Very curious how the 146 XTX is in the twisty trails with no tipped rails.

I've got an 11 apex xtx with the stock for Scandinavia 1.75" backcountry track and dupont slides. I've ridden some hard trails and thought once or twice about maybe getting scratchers, I can't imagine with scratchers you would ever need to worry unless you ride on concrete or something.

Yes I came away thinking what Apex XTX LE a powder sled? Apex has long been a trail sled application just don't understand the 1.75 track on a trail sled? I might be missing something but if application is mostly powder Viper would be better. The LE is nice with dampers but offer it in 1.25 ripsaw II as well. IDK seems like too many Apex XTX models just offer it with options & configure it youself. Also would like to see Iceripper offered from the factory simular to what Sd does.Right. Who came up with that model?

The apex xtx is in the crossover category, at least here in Sweden! It's no ski doo freeride, but the 1.75" backcountry has been standard mounted by the Swedish importer since 2011, and I have to say it works pretty well in the deep stuff! Maybe not the fluffy powder, but that's rare on this side of the Atlantic at least!

When you do get it stuck though, you do need two people to get it loose unless you're 6' + and all muscle!
