I've got a major exhaust leak on my 2017 BTX, it's really loud coming from the tunnel area. I will be tearing it apart to check the damage next days off. I am assuming it's going to be a cracked header. Just curious as to what type of metal the headers are made of, are they stainless. Also what's the best method to get to it, I am assuming I will have to remove the fuel tank.
I believe that the headers are stainless. You are correct that you have to remove the fuel tank to get at it. I've never taken mine apart to that point, but know that is the general path.
