How do you adjust belt tension. Manual tells me how to check tension but not how to adjust if required.

Shoukd be another section in manual that talks to Drive Belt Position. Pain in the #*$&@ to adjust. Remove secondary clutch. 3 bolts with washers on back. As those bolts turn in the sheaves spread open more. So if you want belt looser (lower in secondary) remove shims so bolts turn in more. if you want tighter (higher in secondary) add shims so bolts push in less.
Check out Thunder Products belt tension tool. Sooooo much easier and site sponsor.

Excellent product. Once installed, you can adjust the belt tension easily, whenever you want. It will let you use other (sidewinder, etc) belts and adjust so they fit. Also makes belt removal easy. Simple to install.Check out Thunder Products belt tension tool. Sooooo much easier and site sponsor.
