2017 SR Viper Oil Level

Looking for clarification on oil level For 2017 SR Viper Bought the yamaha kit and instructions say not to screw in dipstick to check oil level, but everything I read online says to screw in dipstick.
Looking for clarification on whether it should be screwed in or not.

I don’t think any SR Viper has a dip stick. They all have site glass or site tubes for oil level.

Viper? I had a 2014 it didn’t have a dip stick. None of the winders have dip sticks.

Looks like it changed in 2015. See page 21

Dip stick on that model must by screwed in to check oil level. All NON cat true Yamaha sled you don’t screw it in.

I have a 2015 it has a dipstick. To check: warm up until the fan kicks on, then as yamaha says check with dipstick screwed in within 30 seconds after shut off.
