2019 sidewinder xtx le, sleeping for now
I'm looking at buying a leftover 18 mtx 153 se, first of all I need to know what gearing is in it, 2nd is the chain case just rotated and lowered or is it actually longer and uses a longer chain.

It moves the drive axle down and back approx 1 1/4" The chain case is physically longer and uses a longer chain as well. Not sure on the gearing.
The D+R makes a noticeable improvement in deep snow due to the better approach angle. Also it allows the use of 8 tooth drivers instead of 7 tooth found on the non-drop and rolled chain case, which improves drive train efficiency as well.

The gearing stock is probably 21-49.

2018 sidewinder mtx 153 2.25 power claw track. Stock gearing is 21/53 with 48 link chain. I have a 300 HP tune in it. 94 mph was top speed at 9150 rpm .That is a little high rpm for my tune. Maxx rpm should be 8900-8950. I’m looking to swap out my lower gear and get a little more top end. Would like to be 110 for top end. I don’t ride that fast but on the long run ways it’s no fun dusting your buddies then having them MPH by you because they can do 110. I will need to also change the chain length. In process of finding right gear and chain links to get. There seems to be no info on what gears to run on these MTX with a dropped and rolled chain case. I will update when I find the answers.
