I add 24 lbs to my sled and it holds. Never went higher then that.Marc, what are you seeing them hold for pressure?

the only way I can get mine to hold is if I plug the crankcase breather hose line and it stops the pressure from escaping through the intake. Once thats done and I pump air into the system I noticed I have a slight leak on the outlet of the Turbosmart BOV. With only a few lbs added to the system with soap and water applied I can clearly see I have a leak.
Removing the BOV and capping the system I also cant find any other leaks either by listening or visual cues. I've replaced clamps, inspected the manifold boots and tightened further, replaced clamps on the entire system and yesterday, I could still get nearly 15lbs on 270 which Im down a couple psi.
Two questions:
1. Is it normal to have to clamp the crankcase breather hose to build pressure when doing a boost leak test? Doing this helped to identify the slight leak in the BOV outlet and build to 22-24lbs without leaking. I essentially had a hold. Is it normal for some of the pressure to leak past the rings?
2. Searching for 2-3psi. System is holding pressure nicely when doing the leak test with the breather hose clamped. When its not, it leaks the pressure just a bit faster. How many other sleds are out there with a leaky outlet on the BOV? Any one else noticing a leak on theirs? Is this normal?
Starting to get a bit frustrating chasing a couple pounds all season.

Are you turning primary clutch to get tdc before adding air!

Yes, I made some small adjustments to where I thought I was TDC and it slowed the air down quite a bit. Couldnt get it to stop completely but very very minor after I posted this. Turbosmart BOV has a very small pinhole leak. Cant hear it but you can see it with the soap and water solution . From what Ive read it doesnt seem to be a concern.
I can build to 22-24lbs without seeing a leak. Just cant explain why my pressure is at most 15.5psi. Out of options unless running a GGB mountain can is causing an issue

That nipple top that spins 360 isn't supposed too? Mine goes all the way around and around

Yes it's supposed to swivel.. just check the nut on it is tightThat nipple top that spins 360 isn't supposed too? Mine goes all the way around and around

when I tightened the nut it doesn't spin 360 much without some force. Before it spun like a dial. Doesn't need to spin once the BOV is installed IMO.
interesting so that tiny hex that you can barley get a wrench on tightens?

Run test pressure higher and check again. Wiggle hoses. Take bigger hoses off and clean surfaces just don’t tighten clamps. Check for exhaust leaks befor turbo maybe you flex joint is starting to crack, put rag on outlet of muffler with sled running looks and listen for leak. Boost leaks will drive you nuts lol.Yes, I made some small adjustments to where I thought I was TDC and it slowed the air down quite a bit. The engine has to be in good working condition to build boost. If you have air coming out your crankcase breather you must have a leaking intake valve or engine in wrong position for test. Best to do a cylinder leak down test on engine.

Im having same issue as the OP. Sled was at dealer getting some work done to it. When it was done I had it flashed to hurricane 270SS. Running quality is good but it wont boost, spools quickly to 13.5-14 then takes 500ft or more to climb to 16-16.2 and thats it. Checked for boost leaks and there are none. Removed manifold and midpipe and inspected closely for leaks. No soot marks or visible cracks. Started the sled with exhaust cold and covered exhaust outlet with welding glove and it stalled immediately. Tried again with exhaust hot and aled stalled immediately. Before spending anymore time diagnosing I reflashed my turbo dynamics bundle in and went to test. 18.2 psi on maxspool 17 immediately. Tried all the other tunes in bundle and they all reach target immediately. Reflashed hurricane tune and back to low peak boost and slow spooling. Not sure what else to check now but might drop it back off at dealer as they have good working relationship with Dave so hopefully they can sort it out. I dont want to give up on it as it seems like it would be an awesome tune but its not cooperating with my sled at all.

My 240ss tune won’t go past 11.8.
