15k us dollars correct? That's what i was told as well Dan, 3 yrs total with an extra 2 yrs on the cheap. $600 yamaha bucks, which i was quoted off the sticker. And a gear bag and hat.
I got a quote just north of $15K on the LTX LE 50th just for asking so I'm thinking out the door prices will be mid to high $14K range.
yes US$15k us dollars correct?
Thanks, I think this is what I was hearing too....I would have thought some better "Swag" for their 50th then a hat and bag? lol
Id be happy with some changes in the clutch spec, or whatever is causing the issues.
I thought they would do a 50th anniversary jacket.
But what i'm really hoping for, is with more seat time on these things they run into the same issues us owners have seen and they make the necessary changes which will allow us to upgrade or, don't hold your breath....be fixed by recall. I could care less about the rollers or blowing a belt every 1500 miles give or take, but what really bothers me is this primary and the noise it makes.
I wanted to keep the stock muffler on to keep the sled stealthy, but i'll tell ya. If i can't get the primary to run quiet i'm going to buy the loudest god damn aftermarket muffler i can get my hands on to drown out that clutch noise!

Not sure what kinda deals CA guys will get? I know they dont seem to "deal" as much up here as at home.
At home 16,699 msrp for the RTX 50th....Should sell for 14,999 by most dealers. This takes into acct all the power surge cash. Not sure if one can still get the 0% financing for 60mts with this price too? I have talked to a few dealers who are less already. Would be nice to hear what others are getting around MI and NY. Maybe not as many people will be buying this year as so many were sold the first season, but many may want the 50th. Hoping for tech updates by Yam on clutching but wont hold breath on that.
So 16,699-14,999=1700 dollar discount in general in USA....Likely about 400 back to dealers from the 600 power surge cash(dealers dont get all 600 usually) so many dealers are discounting 1300 off MSRP it looks like. I dont know the dealer markup, but Im sure they are still making a fair amt on each unit, and I know some dealers who are below 14,999 by a few hundred.
So I would assume in CAN there would be some selling them for below MSRP, but I know from experience CA dealers tend to like to add PDI and freight, then sell you the sled at MSRP showing that as a discount.

This is the million dollar question.....and I can bet none of us will know this answer for certain until next fall. I got a sick feeling the 18s may just come thru with identical parts.Do we know yet what changed for 2018, besides BNG? Shopping LTX-LE

Sheesh, the part numbers for the 2017 are still NOT out yet.Do we know yet what changed for 2018, besides BNG? Shopping LTX-LE
Also don't forget that historically since this "Alliance" the specs on some of the first delivered new year sleds can be much different than what comes later. Over in Viper forum we call them .5's. Sixteen and Sixteen .5's were the biggest. Whole new engine which no one knew about till after fact.

Am I missing something about 2017 vs 2018? The 2018 XTX is a 137 coupled rear skid with 1.75 lug. The XTX wasthe 141 uncoupled up to that wasn't it? MyViper is... I know I've seen 2017 SW XTX 141's, both with 1.6 lug. No?

Don't even remind me. First I was pissed I got the old engine in my 16 and then I was happy because it didn't throw a rod and then I was sad because the sidewinder came out then I was happy because I traded in and got one then I was sad cause I'm broke, then the snow melted ..... feeww. Thank god for beer.
I can only imagine! Sure must have been a much more relaxing experience getting the Sidewinder when you could actually see the one you are buying. Spring buyers beware for sure.Don't even remind me. That was a stressful summer / winter / spring

I'm with you on happy for the winder, sad because no snow, happy because I got the parts to make it killer, sad because I'm broke (wife laid up five months with injury and couldn't work), happy because its a freakin awesome sled, sad because that new black is totally sick and wish I would be building that. I don't drink, or sleep, so I'm hoping that the 3-4" we just got out of nowhere is enough to test all the new upgrades later today on the unfrozen dirt roads. I will be sad if they plow it off before I get out. I will probably be extremely happy to toast the new carbides on the new 6.9's if all goes well but this is definitely the last snow we will see.Don't even remind me. That was a stressful summer / winter / spring
