2019 Sidewinder updates

Yeah SE is lower model, just came with basic rotor.

I never could understand why companies do things like that. Its a brake rotor really? Wouldn't it be easier to just make 1 instead of 2?

Explain why the spring and helix won't be good for guys who are tuned

Typically a strong tune with early spool will hit harder, and with a reverse angle helix it will likely slam rev limiter initially(over rev). And the Pink is the old Apex sec spring, lighter then the orig winder spring and even lighter then the b/o most of us run. I cant see this combo having any backshift whatsoever.

Cast piece.......As soon as it starts to shift they sit flat. Has alot to do with the way the spring sits at idle.

I confirmed the Apex "pink" secondary spring on the SRX. And the Helix did look to be a reverse angle, as specs show the 35/39. Wont be good for guys who tune though.

The helix is now machined on the SRX... This is confirmed from a production model.

If the rollers are not all hitting the helix now, as mentioned in a post before.... I would have to believe that the cast area of the helix against the large washer to determine belt deflection (basically how it's held on the sled) could be a reason. Machined angles and machined surfaces that the helix bolts on SHOULD contact all the rollers.

Still unsure of the angles, but looking at the helix close up shows minimal material taken off of a helix that the part number says straight 37°

Isn’t it a reverse angle helix on the stock SRX this year? 35/37 or 35/39??

I check my secondary with & without the spring. One rollar hits , second kinda touchs, the third doesn’t touch on a new sled . With the stock 35. I will take the rollers out and measure to see if there is different thickness to them .

Nice work Terry......So it looks like the surface is machined, but still a cast helix? Hard to tell from Pic. But is that even possible if its cast still?

Now having a straight 37 would make better sense to me if the SRX does come with that. The 35/39 reverse angle with pink(apex) spring just seems like a bad combo.
