I like the key on the winder much better, you can light up the lights without starting the engine, set the clock on the gauge and do all those kinds of things without timing out like the Doo did. Its one thing I prefer about the Winder over the Doo.
You like the key on the winder much better? UM o k a y wow. The key can not be turned with gloves on and is way out of reach while straining to reach over the bars. I didn't mention anything about Ski Doo similarity either. Leave the key where it is and add a push button on the bars. Or move the key switch entirely to a location that is easy to reach and turn. Like perhaps beside the heated seat switch?

How about a push button start!

Push button start is super easy to do yourself ! Used Polaris PERC button and about 20 mins work done deal

I don't know how big of gloves you use, but I can turn the key just fine with my gloves. ???

100% agree Mike....I hated not having a real "on" switch for all those things.

I am also on board for keeping the key, but do wish it was on the driver's side of the handle bars, easier to get at in the dark. Or keep it in the same location with a light up ring around it that would come on with pushing the hi beam switch or something like that.

I was looking into moving my Key to a lower closer spot, below the riser on right side. Just seems its alot easier to get at.

However, after I recently swapped over from LE to SE window, I am loving how easy the key is to get at now....LE window was so tight.

HAHA. Maybe that's why I can turn the key fine. I never even had my worthless LE no shield on. I run the DX windscreen. Never thought that would be an issue. No wonder I can get to my key fine. Wasn't making sense to me. Well there you go, the winder should come with a windshield then too. LOL!

It is dark ages tech when a person has to take off the shift actuater to put oil in the chaincase. Put in a fill hole and a drain hole. I have given up on them ever making a real ski. All the mentions of dash mounted GPS I fully agree with. It would really be nice to have handlebar controls to adjust front and rear QS3 settings on the fly. A very simply electric over hydrolic solenoid could accomplish this.

Keep the key switch as is, just add a push button start on the handlebars like all motorcycles and 4 wheelers. Simple as that

Serious? Guys we are nit-picking the smalls here.
We have a leaky chain case design that takes a weekend & watching 3 hours of Dan's video to change oil, 2 wheels in the back you take off with a 10mm wrench, loose screws on 80 percent of the sled, ski's that i thought were OK until i SHARTED myself almost flying into the trees, belts that grenade blowing out your belly pan & we are worried about the key switch?

Let Yamaha fix the big issues & we'll take care of the rest. I can move my keyswitch....i can't weld a whole oil tank

Personally I would like to see a 141 XTX with a 1.75 Back Country track, QS3 coil over shocks like the 2018 BTX LE, 40" front end, and MTN seat. This is my dream sled and one I would consider giving up my 137 XTX for.

As if Yamaha read my mind.... Anyone need a lightly used 137 XTX with 1400 miles?

The chaincase needs work,heavy duty gears and chains,drain plug for chaincase,easy fill hole for it as well,oh ya,a dipstick for it to,get rid off that wimpy glass window,that for the most part cant see it clearly. Better skis,even the single kneel cat skis work well. Factory tunnel protectors,full length,better quality control,to many lose screws,nuts,and bolts,come on guys,wake up. Windshields with built on mirrors,like my cat and doo had.An outside air temp gauge add on feature,more transfer for a coupled 137 skid.

Ha Ha,yes Dan,you can all most call the shield that comes on the SE a windshield,but not the tampax I got with my LE,it does not even cover yamahas windshield bag,and this bag is smaller than any Yamaha windshield bag I have ever had.
