Does anybody know if the 2019 throttle lever will fit on the 2017-18 sidewinders? Looks to be more like the Japan lever and more comfortable.

I bought one from Barn of Parts. He takes apex lever and makes it fit. I love it!! And much hotter than stock lever to boot!!

Might as well get the real Japan lever and know how much more comfortable it really is!!
I hated that Cat lever.

Got mine on last season too....I was after more heat(which i got) but the ergonomics are much better too with the Japan lever.

I try my best to keep up on requests. Did you submit email through my website? There was a period where requests were not being sent to my email.

Was told yesterday at the Toronto show by Yamaha that new throttle lever would not work on 17 and 18 SW. The new thumb warmer is designed for the new multi stage switch and the 17 and 18 don't have that switch - just high and low.
I also went with BOP a few wks ago - still waiting for it to arrive, hoping before the postal strike we are expecting in Canada..

I went with BOP levers on the winder and viper this year as well. Those cat levers are just to big and don't heat up.

Yeah the new 19s are alot different....I think this is why the tuners are waiting for cluster flash to be perfect, as the '19s have alot of new electronics going on then previous model years. Heaters are all multi-step and go thru cluster, even if you do not have Elect shocks I believe. So no more having to click from low to high to get hands a good temp. Was told yesterday at the Toronto show by Yamaha that new throttle lever would not work on 17 and 18 SW. Got my BOP "true" Yamaha thumb warmer in the mail today - looks good. Wires seem a bit shorter than I expected but I'm sure they will fit. Good workmanship - admit, its not complicated but its all nice a neat with appropriate wire protection.
