Thinking of buying a new sidewinder currently I have a 17 LTX LE and I was wondering how people with the 19 SRX with electronic shocks are liking them versus getting the GT with the QS3 Like the I currently have.

apparently the control module has been on back order and owners where told april delivery for it for the eletric shocks.

The electronic shocks are great! nothing like being able to adjust your ride while ripping down the trail. Don't listen to all the hate from the people on here that don't have them i was skeptical at first but now i love them! The dealer swapped my control module out right away and they have worked great

What track is best for you ?

I’m thinking about purchasing the same sled as you but I don’t own a sidewinder now..
I’m leaning towards the 2020 srx just don’t know how it would handle the bigger bumps on the trails as I’ve heard it will bottom out more frequently.

The 17 LTX-LE sidewinders have QS3r, not QS3. Quite a difference between the two.

I have a 2017 Viper Ltx Le love the shocks but really looking at 2020 SW Ltx Le but want a 1,5 track

I put the storm 150 on this year and absolutely love track and would switch out the track on the new sled to the storm 150 right away if I buy one.
I put one on from 200 miles also. It now has 5k. The last 3k with a Hurricane stock muffler tune. That tune is hard on that track. Ripping lugs and bending them over.

I have a 17 ltx le what is the difference of the QS3r to the QS3 ? Just that you can adjust on the fly?

I have 1700 miles on the track running TD Max spool 17 and 192 1875 stud boy power points so far the track is holding up great and hooks like crazy

Qs3r are the top dog reservoir shocks. (Quick Switch three Rebound) have kashima coat larger body and massive 5/8'' shafts. They have Rebound. Sleds with QS3R come with all 4 shocks this way.

Qs3 reservoir shocks are not kashima coated, no rebound, and smaller diameter with smaller shafts(1/2") Sleds with Qs3 typically only come with 3 of them(Fronts/Rear) and the CENTER shock is typically a non adjustable HPG shock.

The new '20 sleds from Yamaha come with Qs3. Either manual(GT) or Electronic(IQS-Intelligent Quick switch -SRX/LE) in 3 locations(Fronts/Rear) while CENTER comes with a HPG non adjustable shock. The SE models comes with a NO Reservoir R/C FOX shock up front which have a rebound adjuster that also compensates some for compression. The rears are HPG on the SE.

You cannot get the top dog shocks anymore on any 998s for '20.

I have a 17 le and I don’t have rebound on my center shock

I heard somewhere for the 2020's the IQS now adjusts the fronts and the rear separately.

Another trick feature is the FOX IQS (Intelligent Quick Switch) Electronically adjustable suspension, used on the front ski shocks and rear arm shock. A handlebar switch allows the rider to vary the suspension calibration automatically. Instead of having 3 modes for 2020 there are 2 new modes, driver 1 and driver 2, which allow you to custom tailor differences in the settings between the front and rear suspensions. If you would like to have the rear set firmer than the front you can now do this. So, in total you can have five unique settings instead of only the 3 of soft, medium and firm.
