I own 2020 X-T GT, yup two fuel caps. The hard "suit cases" provides "hard rear storage" on the port and the starboard of the sled, and the rear deck removable cover provides for "trunk storage". The problem is the hard "suit cases" locking mechanism is a TOTAL TOTAL piece of crap. I have what amounts to 14 Gage wire twisted around the handles to to keep the hard boxes closed. Absolutely ashamed at the design/quality of the hard "suit cases". Looking to trade for OEM EPS

LOL.. 137" is VERY flat sled in stock form actually.. LTX LE ? Best shocks come with that model. I actually thought you were making a joke and being sarcastic. He will love it.. If it handles badly its not set up correctly..I told him he is making a mistake. I've never ridden one though.
I'm expecting he will have to coast through the corners to keep the skis planted. I guess we will find out next winter.
I see now what he ordered a XTX my bad. I see your concern. Uncoupled suspension?

I was basing it off the "beauty" photos on the website as normally those pictures are how the sled comes out of the crate. Although, as with anything, "specifications are subject to change"
I wish I could confirm but we have not sold this model yet.
Yup, no worries. Fingers crossed that they come standard, otherwise have sneak that extra purchase past my in-house bank

Good to know, will keep on eye that next winter once I've got the new sleds. I plan to use them for when we go on weekend trips using the sleds only, so clothes would be in there. Wouldn't want my PJ's scattered all over the trails!

We use to use fabric bags that were tied down with bungie and straps, all bags ended up sliding over the side and getting chewed up by the track, it will even shuck chocolate bars from thier wrappers lol. I Remeber back tracking 50 km to pick up brand new clothes I had just gotten for Xmas. Solid mounted hard containers are what we are using now.Good to know, will keep on eye that next winter once I've got the new sleds. Do the 2022's come with the new solid state relays? I assume so.

The pics on Yamaha website, which Jaret took not long ago for the reveal, has the SE with the 20" medium tunnel bag. Specs says its an option only. All LE in beauty shots have medium color matching windshields. Yet side profile doesn't and it doesn't say in which one in specs.
So I guess its all a surprise when you get one.

I was wrong, the "Studio" photos were the ones I was referring to.
If you look there on the SE, it shows the correct windshield/storage bag/etc.

So are you saying its final calibration too? Cause the rear suspension is in the bottom hole in studio pics vs outdoor pics... which will make some mad is it seems not preferable.

Spoke to a shop who installed aftermarket EPS and is no longer doing EPS installs because of "issues" , i.e. troubleshooting issues. He said: if you want EPS spend the money for [2022] the upgrade.... YAM been doing EPS since 2007.
Well, I guess that answers that question.

I ride northern Wisconsin and the UP. I have a 20’ XTX LE. I think he will be pleasantly surprised. I really like mine. Is it as easy to get through the turns as my RTX, maybe not. But I knew that going in. I was happy with how well it does everything.Plenty of guys on here love the XTX on trails.. Not my choice but several here like them..

Was a demo ride recently in Vt with Cat. Watch the steering effort on the Tcat, wow!
