2022 Preorder build dates/delivery dates

I agree, I am totally confused. This forum is generally the best source of information for all things Yamaha, but all the different stories, with everything from people having received their sleds, to long delivery delays into February and April, and outright cancellations just leads me to conclude that there is no rhyme nor reason to how Yamaha has handled this situation. All I know is that I put my money down the first week of Power surge; I traded in my Viper and gave it to my dealer (who promptly sold it) and now I am looking at an April delivery at the earliest. So, if I am lucky, we only lost a year.

Maybe it isn't a big deal for corporate Yamaha, but when you are in your 70's, every snowmobiling season is precious, and you can't put a value on losing a whole year of riding.
Amen! I also am in my 70's and have been waiting for several years for them to come out with a new EPS sled. I have bought a bunch of parts for the new sled that are just sitting here. Also made a downpayment last March on a tune to lock in a price. Sold my only sled also. Also bought a new trailer that is sitting there very lonely. I totally understand what is going on in the world right now and all I can do is accept it for what it is. I know that if I actually get a sled before next winter I will adjust my schedule next winter so that I can ride as much as possible, of course assuming that there is actually snow somewhere. Last option is that I will have to take it out on the lake for some water riding!

I hope that you are one of the "lucky" ones that gets your sled this month, and hopefully you can salvage some riding. Lord give me the serenity to accept the things that I can't change; the courage to change the things that I can; and the wisdom to know the difference. I am sure that whoever composed the serenity prayer did not have this situation in mind, but I guess it fits.

Letter from Yamaha says April delivery for me and I

Or just go with "Serenity now!!!!!" and channel your inner George Costanza ;)

Anybody else hear anything? Mine was supposed to be in by Monday this week and nothing. Dealer is trying to get info from his rep and no replies yet.

Tried calling Yamaha, voicemails are all full and getting a person seems impossible.

Trip coming and I was told a long time ago "no no, you'll have your sled way before that"...

Who do I need to talk to so I can get some answers?

I learned one thing from my first Yamaha preseason order. I will not do another when a company changes the eta when its supposed to be in 2 weeks back to 3 months I do not think they are organized at all. Say what you want I could order any car I wanted and get it in 6 months. Supposedly 13 month delivery times and missing a season does not command loyalty to me.

Honestly with the lack of communication we are looking to buy a side by side and another outboard motor in the next few years, if things don't change it won't be Yamaha.

Polaris is doing the same thing.

To be fair, I work for a large lumber company. We are seeing the same thing you are dealing with. No delivery date is certain. We were supposed to get a truck load of foam on Friday. We found out Wednesday that we won't have it until April. There are 96 loads for every truck driver on the road right now.

I would NOT back out on your spring orders if I were you. Right now all signs are pointing towards worsening supply issues and higher prices for all goods in 2022.

At least they are being honest?

So far I've been told Sept/Oct. Then October, then November, then start of December, then before Christmas, then "any time" when I started to get mad dealer got an answer from the rep of by the end of January.

I've now missed out on all this sledding, paying a mortgage on a camp I can't get to etc etc.

I work in mining and understand the issues, I just know this is beyond anything I've seen. Communication is key, I've now lost 1/2 my season due to them lying to me and they still have no answers.

I already have the goodies to fix that. My dealer will never see my sled again after the day I pick it up. I'm a mechanic for a living and sled will be nowhere near stock lol

For those STILL waiting like me...
