2022 Preorder build dates/delivery dates

I checked again with my dealer in southern Ontario, and they are still being told Feb for their outstanding Yamaha's. The dealers are as frustrated as we are and I feel sorry for them. I have QC planned for end of Feb and Mid March, so I know I'm cutting it close. I can take my ZR6000RS but really don't want to run the snot out of it for another trip up there.

At this point if there is no VIN then your sled has not started to be built , which would probably mean no February delivery .
Did you ask if you have been assigned a VIN ?
In hindsight I was lucky , with respect to getting any Jan. and Feb sledding this year, that I was notified in Nov. that I was not getting my spring orders EVER !
This prompted me to get parts , and try and fix my 17 , or find a 22 somewhere .
Fortunately I found a SRX and have been sledding every weekend since the first weekend of January .
If I was still in your position , I would be super pissed !
Hope it works out for you , and all those of you that have been told , your sled is coming .

No VIN and Pissed for sure but there's nothing we can do. At least I have another sled to get me through this year...and bought a 2010 vector back in dec as a back up for the family. And April delivery would be a strange time to get anything when, or if, spring check is on for all of the manufacturers. I suspect nothing really will change with them all.

I know that I am beating the proverbial "dead horse", but I think what upsets me most about this whole fiasco is Yamaha's complete lack of communication. Although I have an excellent relationship with my dealer, he has not provided any insight, but I don't think it is his responsibility to do so. He is plainly as frustrated with Yamaha as I am, and I would not be surprised if he drops Yamaha entirely. Yamaha has had $500 of my money for nearly a year now, and other than one email back in March, they have not reached out to me at all. That is unacceptable to me, and frankly, not very smart on the part of Yamaha. In the past 10 years I have bought a total of 15 Yamaha powersports products, snowmobiles, side by sides, outboards and generators. There will be a "ripple effect" from the poor taste that has been left in our mouths.

The video was not an adequate replacement for direct communication with the customers who bought their sleds and were waiting for delivery. The only way anyone knew about the video was "word of mouth." More importantly, that was two months ago, and things have taken a dramatic turn for the worse, with no further word from Yamaha. They say in the video that orders would be filled in the order that they were made, but that is apparently not true; I ordered early, but the latest word from my dealer is late April, while others who ordered later have already gotten their sleds. Sorry for the venting, but Yamaha needs to personally reach out to every single effected customer individually and tell them where they stand in the line. An explanation, an apology and some additional incentive would go a long way.

Are you saying that others who ordered the exact same model as you ,after you ordered yours, have received their sled ahead of you ?
The key here is exact same model , as each model has its own lineup , that is supposed to be in the order of the date they were purchased .

Just spoke to my dealer and was told that Cat has not cancelled my Tcat order and it is still scheduled to be built around 2/23. He also advised that cat has not cancelled any of his outstanding orders and they are considering what to offer people that get a super late delivery. IMO, if they offered an additional year of warranty that would be acceptable. We will see if the story changes next week. Stay tuned.....

Already bought an extra year of warranty for $250 I don’t think that’s enough lost a year of snowmobiling on what I was supposed to ride. Will not have 2 Yamahas anymore but atleast a skidoo now. My gf says I hold grudges and a do when I feel I got lied to. The silence is deafening. Where you at Yamaha? Can’t wait till the no snowmobile surge of 2023. Bold graphics I am sure will be a hit

Understand your pain. Every industry has severe supply chain problems. I believe all the manufacturers have had these issues. It is a sad state of affairs. Since I kept my old ZR9 to ride and plan on keeping it when the new one arrives it has been less painful for me. Not everyone is in the same boat. The guys that sold their sleds while expecting their new one certainly have serious issues.

Exactly, we should not have to call our dealers to find info. It should be this is your eta, the eta changes you should get a phone call or at least an email with an update. Sled ships you should be notified.

Just found out that my L-TX GT EPS that was ordered on, I believe, March 28, is scheduled for the second half of April (But my confidences on that actually happening is about zero at this point). Two weeks ago I was told that it was scheduled for the first half of February. I expect that the next update that the order will be cancelled….I understand the bigger picture but still bummed….

Nothing is better at Polaris either. I ordered a new Polaris 650 for my wife in March. Nothing but emails saying delivery has been delayed again. Latest is March 31 delivery. No compensation or anything. All the manufacturers are going through the same BS .

What really is blowing my mind is how are the manufacturers going to introduce new 2023 models in the next few weeks when they haven't even built and delivered all the 2022 sleds they promised customers. What a clusterf#ck, if you ask me the manufacturers have to do some serious a$$ kissing if they want people to trust them to be able to deliver on 2023's.

Polaris, by far, has handled this season the worst.

There are still tons of snowcheck sleds owed to customers. The ones that have been delivered are riddled with issues. I know a guy that buys a new Assault every season. He typically puts on 4,000 miles a season.

His 2022 has had to have the throttle recall, coolant hose replaced due to rubbing on the starter bracket, center shock bolt fell out while riding, and yesterday at 1,330 miles the 850 engine blew up.

It's a shame too. Those sleds are a blast to ride.
