with your maxspool 16 am, did you leave the foam under the heat shield? Mine almost caught fire yesterday just warming sled up and one run down the road! All depends if you want more noise or not, both Turbo Dynamics and Hurricane make stock muffler tunes that run very strong and it is stock sound. you cant go wrong with the 2 i mentioned, I run TD Max16 stock muffler with TD header and now just doing the closed loop. my set up runs very good, power and response is very strong with stock muffler, its more than you would expect.

Real world feedback here.
The tunes with trail muffler are a rip!
If your sled has no boost leaks, exhaust leaks and good fuel supply you should have no knock light come on with recommended fuel for each tune.
Need to watch intake temps...
Had a really hot right foot last winter. A sign of some sort of issue there.
Your primary clutch rollers bushings will wear out fast on the bigger tunes. If your clutching is off and get alot of heat then belt and bushing issues get worse. Recommend a really good clutch kit made for big tunes and better belt.
This year I removed roll over valve and put breather hose outside belly pan, cleaned out intake system, shortened spacers on throttle body boot clamps as recommended. Tested intake for boost leaks. Also rerouting fuel return hose to pump and checking fuel pickups to make sure they lay on bottom of tank. Also went with nytro primary to get rid of roller issues.
With this additional work done hoping to see no knock light this year so I can enjoy the benefits of the tunes.
Thats my real world feedback.

Between the heat shield and muffler there is the material to absorb the heat. Mine was smoking yesterday after 5min ride. Had to pour water on it.Can you please explain what heat shield has foam under it?
My concern is the exhaust to restrictive with this tune, build too much heat?

Interesting. I only have 70 miles on MS16. My foam is still in place. Perhaps I should remove it and install some heat tape.
Have you ever had an oil leak that saturated the foam?

Not that I know of, it's a 2020 and just had it at dealer. Will investigate tomorrow and call dealer. Seems like it runs hot thoughInteresting. I only have 70 miles on MS16. My foam is still in place. Perhaps I should remove it and install some heat tape.

You will have more heat with any tune and that is normal. The stock muffler tunes are plenty safe and nothing to worry about. If you had a fire under the muffler then some oil was spilled during a service and absorbed by the foam. I ran my foam all last yr with zero issues but I was also very meticulous about not making a mess when I did it. I know have rivnuts installed and remove lower panel so no chance of making a mess at all and much nicer to do your service.

Hurricane recommends removing the foam with any tune.
