The other post was asking how cold?/ RS motor will start.
It was -25 in northern WI. this morning when I went out to load up and head home mid morning.
Put her on full choke, the sled turned over fairly easily and fired up after about 5 to 10 seconds.
I was impressed. this sled is new with 200 miles.

Same here -29 sleds parked right off a big lake, full choke fired right up, the headlight took awhile to come on, the speedo came on but no headlight..Then 15-20 later it came on....

My coldest start was about -25, no problem, started right up. These are sweet engines.
2005 RS VECTOR, coldest start was last winter -50 below windchill. Northern Wisconsin. That cleared my mind of any questions!

Ive started at -40*f with out a proble, you could tell it was cold though, turned over alittle bit slower, but i had the choke at full and it was runing with in 3 seconds. I was pretty happy, i had my doubts that it would start.
I too did few starts at -42, where the F & C scale meet without troubles. But at couple of times, she would keep acc. power & lights off for 20 sec or so. Original 2005 battery.

Am from Northern Ontario and was out last weekend in Timmins. It was -37 C and with the wind chill -45 to -50. Sled started perfect and was not plugged in or in a garage (stayed outside all night). At -25C It has started many times with no problems even if it has not been run for days.
