Get a 09' computer? Man the early sleds seem to have trouble starting. I didn't have one issue with my 09' taking more than 3-4 seconds to start, even at -15*f. They DO foul plugs easy if you just start them up and shut them off right away!!! IF started they should at minimum be run until the "warmup" light goes off, but preferably at least 5 minutes. Then again mine has a starting issue now, it doesn't want to turn over with a rod thru the block, I'm having the dealer look into that. :D
I think you might be on the right track here. Never had an issue starting the 09. and always let it warm up, i go so far as letting it idle down before shuttign off or moving it around.

Any luck geting any of the sleds started yet?

same here 09 always starts no matter how cold. this is why i never by anything first year or one off. i learnd my lesson with that crap along time ago look up the price for a 96 vmax XT rear shock its a joke!!!

How is it explained that my 07 which does not have the coldstartupdate and still has original plugs has never failed to start?I promised I would put CR8EK plugs in this year since they are hotter and fixed starting issues on Cannondales.Just havent gotten around to it yet.Biggest thing is dont start it unless you are going to either ride it or clean it out good on track stand.

Guys its a electric start system. They have been the same since first ignition key car.Solenoids have always been a issue but just part of the game.

UPDATE I HAD TIME TO DO AN OIL CHANGE COMPLETE WITH FILTER, change PLUGS, and put it back together, turned the key and it fired right up! one done two to go. thanks for all the info that was posted.
