You sure it isn't conditions. Do you have scratchers down?I've heard similar. When the pump lets loose it lets loose and you don't get very far. But I've had others suggest other situations where the vein was still attached to the shaft trying to do something.
I'm definitely running 15° warmer than average

All three holes exactly the same reading. Maybe I'm overreacting a bit....

You are doing a good job eliminating things! Drop a new set of plugs in and run it in some loose snow, and see where it runs for temps? Would like to know where it runs for temps OFF trail.. Maybe not possible for you to do? but that will tell you

To be clear. It runs 174° 95% of the time. So when it started running in the 190s I went off onto the lake into 8 inches of pow. And that got it down in the 180s.You are doing a good job eliminating things! Drop a new set of plugs in and run it in some loose snow, and see where it runs for temps? I think you are fine.. Maybe some scratchers if you don't have them? These things can be very finicky on hard pack.. possible you have a small air bubble or pocket also.. But a good set of scratchers will help ALOT.I went off onto the lake into 8 inches of pow. And that got it down in the 180s.

Keep a eye on it.. It should run 168-172 on the lake in powder snow . And the same on trail (with scratchers/hard pack)

Agree. Running 174 95% doesn't seem right to me. Mine runs 167-170 100% of the time in normal trail conditions. If I see consistent over 172+, I put my scratchers down.Keep a eye on it.. It should run 168-172 on the lake in powder snow . And the same on trail (with scratchers/hard pack)
Might want to check for some air in cooling system.

I buttoned up sled with "bleeding" the cooling system the exception. I got the front end lifted up. Probably need to give it a little tilt, lower the turbo side a bit. Then I'll give it my best!Agree. Running 174 95% doesn't seem right to me. Mine runs 167-170 100% of the time in normal trail conditions. If I see consistent over 172+, I put my scratchers down.

Mine is always at 172 even with good snow on trail. I'm sure there could be some variation between sleds. Only when in deep snow crossing lakes and fields will it go down to 170 or lower on mine. Stays there all day so I'm not worried.

Yea its possible you may have some air in your coolant system.. My 2017 was very finicky on hard pack.. I tried a longer snow flap, changed coolant and bleeded it till the sun went down,, It was just still slightly sensitive to hard pack conditions(scratcher helped).. My 2022 is way better, and hardly ever drop the scratchers. Maybe get some scratchers for it?I buttoned up sled with "bleeding" the cooling system the exception. I got the front end lifted up. Yup. IMO Thermostat opening should be highest point. Make sure to also use the turbo coolant tank plug too. Add coolant through thermostat opening until that tank is full to bottom of threads. Put plug back in. Continue to add coolant through thermostat opening. Front end above rear end by 2 feet. Really helps to take thermostat out and drill a tiny hole (3/32")in flat base part of it to allow air to escape prior to thermostat even opening. Hole won't affect running temp. Also tiny hole enusre there is always a little coolant circulation no matter what.I buttoned up sled with "bleeding" the cooling system the exception. I got the front end lifted up.
