will my apex run stronger with wisecos and correct cam timing
or will it run the same with 3 stacked head gaskets and cam timing
off a little
i bought a spare engine and dont really want to do the pistons
untill wiseco figures out their oil problem
i am running about 13 psi 26/24 pullies (supercharger)
thanks

10:1 and stock timing vs 9.4:1 and timing off a little, I would say the higher 10:1 compression and stock timing will make the most power running the same boost level.
why not try JE pistons, 9 to 1, close to the same price and 1 head gasket.
In this post you say 13lbs and in older post I read you said you were making 16lbs. If this is a on a Stage-I you are waaaaaay off the compressor map (yes that is a bad thing) and I hope your not running the stock fuel system or you're gonna burn it down again. SPEED (Art) had his SC dynoed at DynoTech and the air fuel ratio was 12.5:1 at 10lbs and 9700rpm and a DANGEROUSLY lean 13.9:1 at 10,800rpm during a 15-second dyno pull at sea-level. The stock fuel system could not maintain enough pressure to support the injector pulse-width command from the MPI controller. Setting the controller past setting 5.5 had zero effect because the stock fuel systems pressure was dropping like a rock. The Stage-I MPI Supercharger makes 11.3lbs (measured at the intercooler in sustained WOT condition) with the 26/24 pulleys and is running 150,000 compressor rpm at 11,000 engine rpm. Running that small supercharger at its maximum rpm of 150,000 really beats up the air (makes it hot and heat soaks the intercooler). Combine that with the lean air fuel ratios, not quite enough octane, and you’ve got a recipe for disaster (detonation). Throwing pistons at it or retarding timing on this small supercharger setup (in my opinion) is basically giving away horsepower (BMEP) and pretty much a wasted effort. If you want to run pump gas, just run the 7lb pulley combination, and leave everything else box stock. It’s a lot less work.

Run three stacked gaskets!!! Don't worry about the little bit the cam timing changes. Don't look back. Hammer has valid points above about spinning it that fast too. I'd run 9-10 lbs on the stock engine with the Stage 1 supercharger. 24/24 pulleys @1000 above sea level if I remember correctly.

Not quite the same as you are asking but... I ran the powderlites recommendations last winter which is their head shim and slotted the cams for cam timing, not a good way to go IMO.
This season I have changed to 3 stock head gaskets and stock timing, I just finished bolting it togeather yesterday now waiting on a header from Turbo addiction, can't wait!
