4% leak down and burn oil....need a tech

TT - you think having the crank case hooked up to the filters is the problem, and to solve it disconnect the vent and put a little uni filter there instead?

I'll check all the spark plugs again, when I did it last (about 300 miles after rebuild) they were all golden brown and perfect.

Yep tech lied when I bought my own leakdown and compression test kit I got 130 psi and 14% leakdown on one cylinder all from the crankcase al la rings.

Engine will come out at the end of the season and go to BPE for new rings.

Well that sucks, but about what I expected you would find. We'll hook you up when you're ready...

Yeah me too just sucks to work this hard on the damn thing and have to do it all over again. If you get a sec Jim let me know what dates your close to the twin cities area and I will try to make arrangments to get the engine up to you. I would like to ride this year yet but usually done in 2 week of march. Cant wait to have a expert go through this is and be done with it. Toying with going SC (head shim and cam timing) to so I can have my dream trail sled once and for all. My luck it will blow belts every 100 miles....LOL

I'll call you as soon as I can, digging out from a mountain of PM's/emails right now.
