4 Stroke Summer Storage

Boeshield did the trick. I took off the hood, side panels, the headlight pod, and the airbox and sprayed the aluminum frame and engine components with this product and all of the white aluminum oxide substance is gone. It seems like a thicker version of WD-40 and coats everything nicely. Expensive though. The Sears near my house only sold it in a 2 pack with the rust inhibitor, $20. I also coated the suspension components. Should last a couple of seasons.

My summerizing

I do a pretty extensive going over; 8,000 miles no grief so far;I'm not a mechanic:
Change oil and filter
Change coolant
Change chain case oil every 2nd year
Adjust chain tension
Check the 2 bearings
Clean air filter
Check track alignment and deflection
Check plugs
Check belt wear and sheave offset and freeplay
Check slider wear
Lube all grease fittings
Drain gas out of tank and carbs
Fog Cylinders
Take belt off
Wax
If needed take to mechanic for carb sync and valve adjustment but never have so far
