Hey fellas my 07 apex rtx er having hard time starting every time the ride cools off and i have to use a hair dryer to warm up the relays or pour hot cup of coffee out in middle of no where. Whats the best solution to end this problem change the relays ? Kinda tired of doing this to start up the motor this ways while others start up no prob. Need input and happy safe year years all.

There is a new updated relay to install, but I can't find the part number. Someone else will chime in

Just got done changing to a fresh battery and fully synthetic 0-40 oil.can hear the relays just clicking until i warm them up some. Ps my yamaha big bear 400 starts right and been using it while my apex sit for atv warm wx.

If the relay is clicking but not making contact it is time to replace the relay and always carry a spare. I'm pretty sure that the updated relay is the only one available now, but I've seen it fail also.

In that case look up the updated relays and get 2, one to keep warm inside, since pretty sure the "updated" one freeze too.

Last winter my RX wouldn't start on the lake at -35C and throw a little wind on top of that made the sled barely turn over. I went in the sauna and grabbed a pot of hot water and poured it on the cylinder head and the sled fired up right away. I also run Amsoil 0W-40 in my sleds.

I keep hearing people razzing 4 stroke owners who are on rides staying at lodges and their sleds won't start first thing in the morning. If you are near water where you can make it hot, you won't have any worries.

I carry a spare relay when riding my Nytro, but so far no problem yet with starting.

I had to do the hot water trick twice last year to get the sled started. Two new apex's in Kirkland Lake won't start. Now I get a trash bucket out of the hotel room, fill with hot water and use my gas sipon hose to pour hot water over the carb boobs, it works.

Where are these relays located on a 08 Vector?

I haven't had any issues yet but want to carry a spare(s) just in case?
(or is it mainly on EFI models that this issue occurs?)
