I am now the happy owner of an 08 700 without the power steering. It wasn't a money thing it was a color issue. They quit making my favorite color, RED, so I bought a 08 to get the color I wanted.
The 700 steers better than the 660 and is a little smoother riding. It dosen't have as much of a (hit) when I stab the throttle but I can get used to that.
I now have 135 miles on it and haven't had to add any oil. My old 660 would have used a half a quart in 135 miles.

wow, thas a lot of oil. my moto 4 ( i know no comparison but anyways) can go forever without adding a dop of oil. im gone over 1000 clicks and its not down to the fill line.
i just put my 07 s.e grizzly away for winter,i bought it last year in october so ive had it for 1 year now and i logged 3000 miles on it,i never used 1 drop of oil, plus, the oil stays golden right up to the next oil change, this motor is wayyyyyyy better than the old 660,i had an 03 before this one,it had 9000 miles but it used oil like crazy, the 660 is not for the type that rides and never does maintenance or check the oil,you will fry the motor if not looked at closely, still a good bike besides that issue

Wow! I must have a good 660. After the oil change as the new owner at about 1600 km, using Castrol syntech 5W50 oil, the oil was half way to the add mark at 2273 km. That's about 673 km, or 420 miles without needing oil. Normally that's what i'd expect. (My Big Red never needs oil) From reading these posts, I must have a good one. The 700 is still at full by the way.

Camo, you lucked out. About half were oil burners. Mine was from the first ride.
