Here are some pictures of the bearings on my 04 Warrior with the seals removed and grease applied before refitting the seals, and the Grease Gun with a homemade attachment for applying the grease!
These bearings are original with over 9200 miles on them. I use Amsoil Waterproof Synthetic Grease.
These bearings are still in excellent condition! ;)!

do you just stick the needle inbetween the ball bearings and pack as much grease in as possible?? and are the seals easy to take off and replace. Im not sure exactly how they come off???

Also what bearings do you do this to. Just the one pictured or others??

Thanks!!

Bob Miller, I do the same on mine and works great, how about the chaincase side, have you ever changed the bearings...

I was told to change my chain after 10.000kms/6000miles, some guys broke theirs around those miles and DISASTER...so I tought when changing it should I do my bearings too?

I pump a line of grease around the bearing and then rotate the track and press it in with my finger on both bearings and then replace the seals.

To remove the seals, take a tiny screwdriver and get it behind the seal on the inside diameter being careful not to puncture the rubber, what you want to do is slip the screwdriver under the seal, then take a little larger screwdriver and slip that in where the other driver is and work your way around the seal and it will pop out.
To replace, put the seal back on and press it in with your fingers, going around the bearing. These bearings I check and lube before each of my weeklong trips to Quebec.

I also do all the wheel bearings once a year.

I was wondering about the seals as well and how easy they are to remove and replace with out leaking.

DITTO, Just take your time and be careful and you won't damage them.

I just checked my chaincase at 8500 miles and everything looked good, bearings where still good! I use Mobil 1 Synthetic Gear Oil 75W-90

Yes I also use synthetic Quaker 75W-140 and change it every 1500kms +/- and never had any issues, but I've had my dealer w/'05 w/10.000kms w/broken chains both sleds had a little over 10k!

Now do these guy's maintain their sleds like we do thats another thing!

For insurance I think I'll replace mine for $100.00 compared to a chancase $$$$$ and check the bearings at the same time

Thanks

bearings

My lower chaincase bearing went at 11000 kms, worst thing is I had the whole thing apart to change tracks at the beginning of the season put a new bearing on the clutch side, chaincase ones looked good, 3000 kms later disaster. Lesson learned when its all apart replace them all!
