I have a 93 VMAX 4 and a 94 MACH Z. I want to use one of these sleds as a lake racer. Which one would be a better sled to build for speed?

I think either one will work for that purpose...but imo the Vmax engine will hold together better than the Doo 780 ( assuming that's what's in it )....go onto the 2 stoke side of TY and pm YAMMIGOD3:16, he seems to know Vmax 4s very well.

X2 unstoppable motor/ super fast. I do believe they were outlawed in oval racing because they were so fast.
had a 94 mach z luck to keep it running in stock forum. run on three cylinders half the time. go with the v max 4.

I use to own a vmax4 and I always lost to the Mach Z. My fastest was about 115mph while the Z was at 120 on ice/hard pack..my buddy with the red vmax4 kept blowing his motor up with pipes and porting.. That said the Z's also had reliability issues. My stock 4 was bullet proof. I enjoyed the Srx 700 much more though..if you can find one of those..that would be your best choice. Some reed valves a d roller clutch works wonders on it..122.8 mph is what I saw.
Your Crazy not to build the Yami v-4. much better motor than that poo doo! YOU CAN GET A BUNCH OF HELP FROM VMAX-4.COM. Bunch of great guys willing to help. JUNK THAT 780 PIECE OF junk!
