I have a 2006 Apex turbo. The AEM a/f gauge will not power upon starting. It takes a couple minutes of riding then it lights up and works properly. I also have a light on my boost gauge wired into the same source. It too is dead for the first couple of minutes. I see the installer has used a factory Yamaha plug for power and ground. There is only two wires coming out of this plug and going into the harness, orange and black. Any idea what this plug was used for originally? Is it powered when the key is on or does the engine have to be running? I never looked at the A/F gauge with key on and the motor not running. Fuses are all good.
