I am hooking up an AFR gauge and need to get power to it when the key is on. I know the blue/white has power when it is running, but I actually need power when the key is on and it is not running so I can calibrate it when needed. Anyone know the best place to grab power? It'll be mounted in the gauge pod so I'm sure I can grab it there if I know what wire to splice into. I searched here but all info keeps going back to the blue/white. NOTE - I'll be running a relay as well to isolate the circuit. Any help is appreciated!

If it's mounted solid on the hood, you can splice into the 12 volt accessory plug. That turns on when there is key power

I should have said this is on an 06 Apex. No accessory plug like the new ones and the cig lighter doesn't have power with the key on. Any other thoughts?

Hmmmm, on my Apex I ran a wire down to the fusebox on the right side for my helmet shield. Been awhile ago, but with a test light should be able to find something close there.
Yeah, I was thinking the Viper....my apologies

Did you check the wires that feed the ignition?

I found my service manual so I should be able to figure it out through the schematics. I'll let you know where I find power to help others.
There are 4 wires on the ignition switch . 2 are power one is starter and the other is ignition.
Easy to test with a test light

Looks like it is the brown wire that has power with key on.

I got this gauge http://www.innovatemotorsports.com/xcart/product.php?productid=16328&cat=0&page=1
I had to make a spacer for the mount I got to work so I wouldn't recommend it. Allen said he could get one and I assume it would be better out of the box. He said it was around 20 bucks. You'll need to call or email him as it is not on the website.
