A Phazer in my future???

Been wanting one for awhile now. I'm hoping to score a used one next year. My questions are:
What year did they come out? I'm thinking 06, but can't recall.
What year should I steer clear of?
Why?
Other than a 1.5" track, what other mods SHOULD be done?
If I get a 07, what would I want to do?
Likewise, what about a 08?
I'm thinking a 09 might be outta my price range.
I realize it's a lot of questions, but I just wanna know what I'm getting into. Yeah, buying used is buying somebody elses problems, but I figure if I educate myself on here for the next 10 months, I should be fairly confident in what I'm looking at when the time comes.

07' is the first year and it is a fine sled IF all the updates were done with the Billet suspension update being critical. 08 had most of the updates from the factory except the tunnel still being open. 09's have all the updates except for the ground wire relocation (which takes 15 minutes to do)
