I'm adding a heated seat to my 2014 viper. I bought the cat switch and harness. I also have an autotune plugged into the auxilary 12 volt plug by the reverse motor so I bought a 12v cable that splits into two. With both the autotune plugged in there and the heated seat harness it pops the fuse for the reverse light. Interestingly the fuse popped without having the seat turned on. When I first started it with the seat off everything looked normal for about 10 seconds and the display and taillight died. Hence I found the blown fuse. Is it possible adding that harness splitter is to much length it's only about 12 inches long. Not sure if trying to run autotune and seat off that 12v is to much. I didn't think it would pop a fuse without even turning the seat on.

After really looking over the harness splitter I bought off eBay it turns out the positive and negative plug wires were swapped on the end with the split plugs. Cut the wires swapped them and recrimped and it all works now. Thanks.

The fuse has done its job perfectly. Nice job trouble-shooting.After really looking over the harness splitter I bought off eBay it turns out the positive and negative plug wires were swapped on the end with the split plugs. Cut the wires swapped them and recrimped and it all works now. Thanks.
